Slice Pizzeria OBX Sponsors Carolina Titans

We work hard at Slice Pizzeria OBX to bring the best pizza and experience to our customers. We also play hard too! In this case, we combined our love of baseball and passion for community support in our sponsorship of the Carolina Titans baseball team. One of our owners, Jeremiah Stewart has been a life-long baseball lover and has devoted a lot of time to local teams. His youngest son, Aaron plays for the team which also makes this a family affair. The Titans are an elite, year-round baseball team out of Elizabeth City. Slice Pizzeria OBX was proud to donate $1000 towards the team trip to the Cooperstown Baseball Tournament which started Aug. 10, 2019, and lasted a week.
Cooperstown, NY is the home of the Youth Baseball Hall of Fame and the Dreams Park where the tournament is played. Each summer there are 12 week-long tournaments with games between the best youth teams in America. It is a family-oriented tournament and Slice is proud to have been a trip sponsor for the Carolina Titans.
The Carolina Titans finished strong with a 5-2 record. They were the only team to beat Yeti, the team that won the championship game. The group had a blast and came home with their heads held high. The team hit 20 home runs in team play and Aaron hit 2 himself. More importantly, there was a group of young people who had a great experience in teamwork and disciplined effort towards a common goal. Jeremiah and the team at Slice are big on teamwork, and the week in Cooperstown was a success all around. This has been the culmination of a 3-year journey for Jeremiah and Aaron that had plenty of bumps and bruises along the way!
